In response to the Love of God in Christ, we are sent to share and to serve our community and the world with what has been given to us. Our ministries are wholly dependent on the generosity and commitment of people like you. If you'd like to support the ministry of Good Shepherd, you can learn more here.
PLOVER PUPIL PROJECT
This ministry began out of one disciple’s desire to reach out to our local schools in intentional ways. We have been able to forge new relationships with several elementary schools within a few miles. We volunteer in classrooms and labs, collect box tops and milk caps, and help provide basic needs to students as they arise through the schools’ Threads of Kindness program.
LOCAL FOOD PANTRIES
(OPERATION BOOTSTRAP AND THE INTERFAITH FOOD PANTRY)
By supporting these organizations with leadership, volunteers, and financial assistance we strive to make an impact on the poor and hungry in our community. Disciples at Good Shepherd can regularly be found distributing food, packing boxes, and opening their wallets to serve those in need.
LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF QUILTING
Year after year, women of Good Shepherd made close to 200 quilts to send to Lutheran World Relief. These quilts are used by people around the world to carry goods, provide protection from the elements, to stay warm, or to know that someone cares.
Through the leadership of our 5th & 6th grade Sunday School class, Good Shepherd has donated over $14,000 to Heifer International since 2007. This organization provides sustainable resources and training to families around the world.
